Our cancellation policy requires a minimum of 48 hours' notice prior to the scheduled pickup or delivery time. It's kind of a long story.
The Flying Dutchman is a legendary ghost ship doomed to sail the seas forever, never making port. Not unlike the feeling you get on hour 16 on a film set. Will we ever wrap? Rags are hoisted up like sails. Instead of gold and plunder, we carry expensive lenses and cameras. The director is the captain, the first mate the first AD, the Key Grip the Bo'sun, and the grip truck our ship.
We embody the legend in an ironic way. Unlike the cursed ship, we vow to make the sailing smoother. We're open 24/7, ready whenever the industry calls, and we hold ourselves to the gold standard: fairness, high-quality gear, kindness, and as little stress as possible. Filmmaking is tough enough. Renting gear shouldn't be. We may be pirates at heart, but we're the kind that distributes the treasure equally.
It may also be inspired by a portrayal in a certain pirate series from the 2000's. Or, you may recognize the name in another series featuring an anthropomorphic sponge with pants of an unusual shape.
